Operating since 2001, Inmotion Hostings once very reliable service has unfortunately started so slide. We have not been very impressed with our test websites results. Performance is lacking, as well as uptime, and support is not much better. However, we do say this by comparing it to the top 10 hosts from around the world on our list. Compared to the average host out their they compare very well.

Inmotion Hosting on the surface of things offers unlimited bandwidth and disk space, although very restrictive. This can't be put to use with only being able to host a measly 6 websites on one account, were as most hosts are now offering unlimited websites one account. Besides that they do offer quite a comprehensive set of features, but this is all let down by their lack of support and reliability.

Support, we were barely able to get hold of support. Not being able to access our test websites, was extremely frustrating, and we'd imagine even more frustrating for the user actually using their services for their business. Getting hold of a support agent was a difficult task, and even once we did get through we were insulted with the same canned responses over and over. Not very impressive.

Performance 87%

Performance and reliablilty are key in this market. If you website is down you are loosing money. Although Inmotion Hosting offers acceptable uptime and performance, why would you choose them if you can get better for less? Other reviews stating otherwise, unless there is something seriously wrong with our 8 test accounts. Our uptime tests take into account every moment the website is down. Most web hosts fail to tell you that their uptime score only includes downtime due to server software and hardware errors, not upgrades and general maintenance which make up the bulk of downtime.

Thankfully, Inmotion Hosting makes use of cPanel. We at Host Insight favor cPanel over any other hosting control panel, however on Inmotion Hostings servers it reacts very sluggishly, and performs very poorly making easy yet mundane tasks a chore to complete.
